Attached for information is the letter which Mr Macdonald sent to companies following their meeting with Mr Lippitt on 2 June.

2 You will see that a further meeting has been suggested for Monday 20 June at 3.00 pm in preparation for the visit to Hong Kong by a team lead by Mr Lippitt. So far I have received the attached letter from Weir (not copied to all) who will be able to make this date and have heard from Mr Rooney of Balfour Beatty who will not (he would however be able to manage Monday afternoon from 4.30 onwards or Tuesday morning). It would be desirable for the officials who attended the last meeting to be present at this one but since it is more important to accommodate the companies concerned it might not be possible to fix a time which is convenient. I will be in touch with companies in the next day or so to make the final arrangements and will let you know as soon as I can what these will be. In the meantime, perhaps you, Mr Baker and Mr Kemp would like to make provision in your diaries for the afternoon of Monday 20 and the morning of Tuesday 21 or arrange for someone else to be available at these times.
