Chinese Economic Policies
Members may be interested to read the attached editorial printed in the Ming Pao on 16th April 1977. The theme is of course now widely accepted by many 'China' researchers and economic commentators. There is little doubt that Chinese economic policies (and their related foreign policies) will be increasingly geared to securing higher foreign exchange earnings to pay for larger imports of foreign technology, equipment and materials.
