14th January, 1977

Dear Miss Tsu,

I have been asked to reply to your letter of 14th December, 1976 to His Excellency the Acting Governor with which you enclosed copies of letters you had sent to the Commissioner of Police and the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries.

2.

Your letter of 10th December, 1976 to the Commissioner of Police is under consideration and you will no doubt receive a reply from the Commissioner in due course.

3.

The responsibility for the enforcement of the Animal and Plants (Protection of Endangered Species) Ordinance rests with the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries. I understand that officers of the Agriculture and Fisheries Department recently carried out an inspection of the premises of Shing Lee Hong. One goshawk, a member of the falconiformes family and subject to the provisions of the Animal and Plants. (Protection of Endangered Species) Ordinance, was found and was surrendered to the Department.

Yours sincerely,

(K.C. Lo)
