agree on the approach to resolve the problem of cumulative market disruption as given in Annex I to this note and adopt the negotiating directives there set out;

agree to the outline of the introductory statement which the Commission intends to make on the problem in Geneva as set out

in Annex II to this note;

agree to enter in the minutes of its meeting the statements appearing in Annex III to this note;

authorize the Commission to enter into negotiations for the renewal of the Multifibre Arrangement within the framework of the set of directives thus laid down.
