Dear

CMA Mission to U.K.
I enclose herewith a list of mission members and their interests and activities in detail for your use in planning the mission's programme in London. It is suggested that I shall be the "mission spokeman" but if you believe that "leader" is preferable in the 0.K. context, I believe there should be no objection.
It will be necessary, we believe, to have a temporary office in the hotel and a secretary to assist the mission. Subject to the advice from London Office, it seems useful if she can meet us at the hotel upon our arrival, You have kindly agreed to ask London Office
to arrange.
As regards the programme for the mission, it is agreed that it should consist of:
Visits to governmental bodies:
A)
1)
2)
the FCO to present CMA's souvenir to HM the Queen, Department of Trade,
3) the Mayor of London/Westminster
4)
HK Government London Office
Mr. Webb Johnson sees no problem for (1) & (2) (his memo of
擎
02-17 ref. 521/8 refers). We should like to have advice whether the mission should also greet the Parliament.
