REF.

16 March 1977

1. Many thanks for your letter of 1 March letting us know that you do not intend to visit Britain this year until November.

2. I have asked Lord Goronwy-Roberts if he has anything that would cause us to ask you to come to London earlier, e.g. at the time of the Dragon Boat Dinner, but he said that he agrees that your next visit should not be until November. This because, amongst other reasons, this summer is going to be "a little preoccupied".

3.

He did go on to say, however, that he regards your normal practice of two visits a year as "basic".
