HONG KONG: STANDING COMMITTEE TO MONITOR THE PLANNING PAPER

1. It was agreed at the first meeting of the Standing Committee to monitor the Planning Paper on Hong Kong that the Committee's next meeting would take place in February. Mr Cortazzi has now

decided that it should be held at 3.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 23 February. As before, Mr Cortazzi would chair the meeting in his own room.

2.

A provisional agenda will be drawn up later but the main topic for discussion will be the Hong Kong budget for 1977/78; this is expected to have been announced by the Financial Secretary during the first week or so of February. Meanwhile, I should be grateful if the addressees of this minute would take note of the time and place of the Standing Committee's next meeting.
