Inspector Police stationed in Road Town. Know accused. Know Dr. Thomas.

I obtained from Dr. Thomas on the 19/1/77 at about 6.25 p.m. 4 envelopes

which were sealed and stapled. On one was written "Swab of left of Sylveste

Gaston H.M.P; Tortola."

On the second was written "Slide from swab of left foot of Sylvester

Gaston H.M.P. Tortola."

On the third was written "Blood clotted from Sylvester Gaston H.M.P.

Tortola."

On the fourth was written "Blood unclotted from Sylvester Gaston H.M.P..

Tortola." I kept these in my custody and later handed them to Sgt. Malone.

Malone. I witnessed the statement.

P/C James is now in the U.S¡A¡ He left Tortola on the 27/6/77 on

vacation and on 31/8/77 he was retired from the force. He has not returned.

When accused came to the Station on the 19/1/77 he looked distrubed and

appeared to be in a trance. The statement was taken on the 20/1/77. Accused

said he had a headache on 20/1/77 •
