I then walked over to a part of Beef Island where I had worked before with

OBEL PENN. I met people in the house and I asked for a drink of water and

they gave it to me. They were White people. I then saw a grey jeop with an

Immigration fellow and two other people in it and the Immigration fellow

called me and I ran in through the bushes. This was around 3.00 pa. on the

19.1.77. I had stayed at the Airport from minutes to 10.00am. until minutes

to 12.00 Mid-day when I went up where I had worked. When I ran through the

bushes I climbed a tree. The Immigration fellow saw me up in the tree,,1

alled me down and I came down. They took me to the jeep and took me to

Police Headquarters. They gave me three fist in my face. At about 10.40 am. 10

on the 20.1.77 the Police Officer who took down my statement showed me a

folded steel knife, and that was the knife I used to stab Miss EVELYN.

same Policeman also showed me a string and that was the same string I used to

tie Miss EVELYN'S neck. I now know the Policeman's name to be Sgt. Malone.
