Domestic. I work at Burmister's residence at

Beef Island.

On 19/1/77 at about 2:00 p.m. I was at Burmister's residence.

A chap

called Joe was also there. Know accused by sight. I saw accused about

2.30 p.m.

He came to the yard and asked for a drink of water. Joe gave him

the water. He drank it and asked for another. He drank it.

Accused was wearing a blue shirt and black pants and he had a pair of

black shoes in his hand.

Accused gave me back the glass and asked if I slept at that place. I

told him no

Later that afternoon at about 4.30 to 5.00 I saw accused with the police at

the place where I work; At that time he was wearing a black pants only.-

No shoes and no shirt.

The shoes were black tall boots.
