2. The enclosure to the Governor's letter of 28 June is addressed to him and that perhaps cast in the form of a petition does not, I think, require action by us. I imagine that Mr McEntee will have done no more than sent an acknowledgement to Mr Jones' Counsel in the hope that he will shortly be able to say that he has accepted advice from his Prerogative of Mercy Committee to commute the death sentence on Mr Jones.
