Thank you for your minute HKG 025/1 of 21.12.77 on the Review of Policy on Accelerated Decolonisation. I am sending a copy of it under cover of this minute to Miss Stoddart and Mr Sullivan, the latter being concerned with the WIAS and Bermuda.

2. Your minute is opportune since we have been giving thought to this matter recently. I have spoken to Mr Sullivan and he commented that the men of decolonisation with regard to the WIAS was proceeding fairly well, but Bermuda is still a problem and he would like therefore, to attend meetings. Mr Sullivan will be on bave from 2 January until 8 January and I suggest we consider a first meeting either on 9 or 10 January, but if that is too late, then I will stand in for Mr Sullivan.

3. I agree it is essential for Mr Beattie to attend this first meeting and subsequent meetings as necessary.
