17. It has been suggested that one way of stimulating interest at the British end would be to hold regional seminars at which firms doing

well in Họng Kong would present case studies. This would require careful preparation and further thought is being given to those companies that might be invited to participate.

In the Trade Commission's view, one way of tackling seminars

would be to organise them by industrial sectors and to arrange for some of Hong Kong's leading industrialists in the chosen sector to address selected British companies on the opportunities in their particular industries. If these seminars were to be successful they would require the support of both the Department of Trade and the CBI and would have to be organised at a sufficiently high level to ensure the right calibre

and level of attendance.
