UK AND HONG KONG:

INCREASE IN GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT

1. I attach the text of a PQ which Sir Anthony Royle has put

down for Written Answer.

2. We are asking Hong Kong for information about the increase in their GDP in real terms for the years in question. I have spoken to Mr Thomas in FRD about the figures for the UK and he has advised me to enlist your help. I should be grateful if you could produce the relevant figures for the UK and, if possible, let Mr Duffy have them on Monday 15 November (when I shall be away).
