SUMMARY OF OUTSTANDING APPEALS FOR INDÒ CHINA RELIEF WORK

A

UNHCR Long-Term Programme in Vietnam

1. This appeal was launched in 1974 and the target is US $100m. The

UK has not contributed to it; we did however contribute £1m to the

UNICEF Indo China programme in 1974. The appeal is still open and the High Commissioner expressed the hope to Mr Grant in July 1975 that we

would contribute. We gave £250,000 to the emergency appeal for Vietnam, which is now closed. Of our EEC partners, Germany, and France aud Denmark contributed to the emergency appeal but have not contributed to the

long-term appeal.
