Please refer to your letter dated 13th September, 1975 in which you sought clarification on certain points concerning the tomney of Rooms 403-410, Block 27 of the Tsz Wan Shan Estate.
I understand that subsequent to this, my staff in Wong Tai Sin City District Office had carried out investigations on the matter and explained to you in detail of their findin ̧s during their interviews with you. However, I would like to spell out the following which may be of help in your understanding of the case it

Htch of your complaint appears to have arisen from the confusion between "tenant" and "family". During the clearance of Ho Man Tin Cottage Area in 1964, Mr. CÃO Chow and his group of people (comprised two familios) were rehoused in Rooms 409-410 in Block 27 of the Toz Van Shan Estate under the tenancy of Mr. CHO.
You are atare from paragraph 3(b) of Celinial Secretary's letter dated 29th August, 1975 that the definition of family members for waiting list applicants; does not apply to intakes from clearances. Room 403 vas previously unler a separato tenancy, the head of which being Mr. CHO's father.
Room 408 was surrendered to the Housing Department in larch 1975 following termination of the tenancy of Mr. CHO's father and was re--llocated to Ir. CHO au relief for overcrowding; this was made entirely in accordance with the policy on the offer of vacant rooms where tenants living in the rooms immediately next to such rooms are over-crowded. Mr. Clos prosent tenancy (consists of two families) therefore covers locao 408–410.
