over its intention to withdraw the Gurkha battalion. If pressed about what would happen when the Gurkha battalion withdrew, you could say that neither yourself nor HMG could give any undertaking now about what might happen at that time, but that no doubt the situation as regards the threat and the forces to deal with it would be reviewed as necessary.
