RADAR FACILITIES FOR CIVIL AVIATION
Thank you for your letter dated 1 November 1972 regarding your Department's future radar coverage plans.
2. I note your concern regarding the route surveillance radar facility operated by 117 SU and I am currently investigating on your behalf exactly and precisely what the future holds in store for 117 SU. I fully realise that this facility is of the utmost importance to your Department and I will communicate my findings as quickly as possible. However I can assure you without recourse to higher authority that 117 SU will retain it's status quo for the next decade.)
