Metrology and Quality Assurance Equipment
This equipment will be placed in a controlled
environment so that:

students may carry out measuring, gauging
and quality assurance activities as a
necessary part of their courses.

used in industry may be checked, and measure-
ments beyond the resources of industrial
enterprises may be carried out on their
behalf.
This equipment totals approximately £110,000.
Printing Equipment
This equipment will be combined with the binding
equipment already provided and will be used for
setting up an in-house printing unit to meet the
Polytechnic's needs for all types of printed materials
including journals, reports, prospectuses, letter
head papers etc. The total cost of this equipment
is approximately £30,000.
Non-Print Materials
The Polytechnic intends to promote self learning
on a Polytechnic-wide basis. With the aid of
recorded or video tape programmes, films and AV
materials, students will be encouraged to supplement
their formal studies in their own time and learn at
