APPLICATION OF ILO CONVENTIONS TO HONG KONG

1. With reference to the draft submission left with us for checking, the position is as set out in Miss Oldfield's minute of 4 July. It will be noted that the only change is an increase of one in the number of conventions now declared fully applied to Hong Kong. The Department of Employment has confirmed that the figures given for Member States in the same area were still as shown in the draft as at 1 May 1975.

As the question of application of conventions is to be discussed with Mr Price on 9 July, I assume you will not forward the submission until after our discussion? OLAD should see the submission in draft in due course please.
