The Sub-Committee has

to you it is their intention to leave London pm Monday, 17th
November on Flight BA 880 arriving Tuesday, 18th November at
1700 hours local. They would plan to stay four days leaving
on Saturday, 22nd November.
2. The first thoughts of the Sub Committee on the span
to be covered during their visit include all the important
aspects of the Service presence in Hong Kong and a range of
interests in the purely eivil side of life in Hong Kong.

FCO are now considering carefully whether it is proper for the
Sub Committee to delve into the latter matters.
Until this point
is cleared it would be premature to ask you to consider' the
detailed content of their programme.
