The MOD are preparing briefs on most of the foregoing" but HIKIOD will be briefing the Sub-Committee on the last n

items and will be arranging a reneral briefing for the part

before it leaves London.

5. It was originally envisaged that the Sub-Committee went not take formal evidence but they are now considering the pore delity of doing so. However, HOD hope to be able to persuade thors Jo drop this idea (paragraph 4 of FCO telegram No 514 to Hong refers).
