member of the Directing Staff at the Staff College Camberley in 1971.
and commanded the 1st En The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders from January 1972
until August 1974 and was appointed Chief Staff Officer in October 1974. He is married, his wife's name is Joanna, and they have three children Neil Iona (7) and Alison (5). He represented the Army at Modern Pentathlon in 1959
and his interests include swimming, squash, shooting and collecting prints.
