Problems in London Railway System:

Although London's rail system is the envy of many other
cities in the world, there are nonetheless many shortcomings.

Staff shortages have begun to affect seriously service
frequencies.
(iii) People going to and from work by train on some lines have

sometimes to put up with long periods of standing in over-
crowded conditions.
It is still difficult to get to central London from some
suburbs, and facilities for travel across London outside
the centre could be improved.
(v) Standards of comfort on trains are often poor.

(vi) Many railway stations get congested in the peak hours, and
a considerable number of them are unattractive.
(vii) Some off-peak and night services are too infrequent on railways.
