41. On 26th February, 1974, officers of the Narcotics Bureau stopped an Indian male, Radha Krishan SHARMA, 28 years, outside a hotel room in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. He was searched and 25 grammes of cannabis resin was found in his trouser pocket. SHARMA was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. He was convicted of Simple Possession of Dangerous Drugs and fined HK$1,000.00.

42. On 14th March, 1974, acting on information, officers of the Narcotics Bureau stopped a Pakistani male, Mohammad LAL, 32 years, on a street corner in Chai Wan, Hong Kong. He was searched and 24 packets of cannabis resin were found in his pocket. The total weight of cannabis resin seized was 406.5 grammes. LAL was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. He was convicted and fined HK$7,500.00 or 3 months imprisonment.
