ECLIPSE

You also thought that if the circumstances were right, it might be possible for a naval vessel at sea sighting a Thai trawler heading this way to put it under surveillance for a while at a safe distance. This too would be most helpful.

Should any sightings be made, the officers to contact are Mr. H.J. Rumbelow as above, telephone office 274970, house 740413, or his Deputy, Superintendent Cheng Chik Shin, telephone office 284284, Ext. 681, house 3-373733, or of course myself at office t elephone 95746, house 248815.

In conclusion, as promised I attach a couple of copies of an address I made recently to the Rotary Club of Kowloon North about the golden triangle which you may find of interest. The substance gives some idea of what we are up against.

With all good wishes and kind regards, and thank you once again for your generous support.

Yours sincerely,

formem Ruhe.

(N.G. Rolph)

Commissioner for Narcotics

Commodore J.A.G. Evans, The Commodore-in-Charge, H.M.S. Tamar, Hong Kong.
