Attached at Appendices I, II and III are Conditions of Appointment to the ranks of Senior Commission Against Corruption Officer, Commission Against Corruption Officer and Assistant Commission Against Corruption Officer.

Anyone who is interested in joining the Independent Commission Against Corruption should study these Conditions of Appointment carefully and apply by letter, in confidence, to the Commissioner Against Corruption (Attention Mr A. G. Bailey), 4th Floor, Beaconsfield House, Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong giving the following details: name, age, present terms of appointment, substantive grade and rank, present department, educational background, salary and incremental date, and reasons for arplying. Letters of application, which should reach the Commission not later than 11th February 1974, need not be passed through officers' Heads of Department.

The Commission will examine all applications in the strictest confidence and will return applications which it does not wish to pursue in a similar manner. The names of suitable applicants will be forwarded by the Commissioner to the Secretary

The Secretary for the Civil Service will then consult the Head of Department concerned and, after taking into account the latter's views and the needs of the Commission, will decide whether the PSC should be asked to advise on the application. In the light of the PSC's advice, the Secretary for the Civil Service will notify the Commissioner, the Head of Department concerned, and the applicant, whether or not the application has been approved.
