6. Mr. CHENG Kai-dick, aged 62 (uncle of Prisoner, living

at 200 Tung Chow Street, 3/F., Kowloon)

Prisoner often visited Mr. CHENG when he was a little child and was often given extra pocket money or brought to tea. He was said to be a good-natured person, quite obedient and

Mr. CHENG lamented that respectful to parents and elders. Prisoner was not allowed more schooling beyond completed primary school education, and believed him to be led astray by undeşi- rable friends. He also said that lack of adequate parental attention was also a cause of Prisoner's offences.

7. Mrs. LEUNG CHU Miu-wan, aged 30 (neighbour of Prisoner's

family, living at Room 1268, Block 11, Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate)

Mrs. LEUNG revealed that she did not know about any

of Prisoner's outside activities, but Prisoner was seen as polite to her and not a trouble maker within his neighbourhood. She commented that Prisoner's parents were too busy with their work so that they had in some way neglected Prisoner.

8. Mr. CHEUNG Ki-fat, M/26 (friend of Prisoner, tailoring

worker, living at Room 1204, Blk. 11, Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate)

Prisoner was known to Mr. CHEUNG since childhood when they were neighbours at the Tai Hang Tung Resettlement Estate. They used to play table-tennis and go for movies together during their spare time. From Mr. CHEUNG's knowledge, Prisoner was a polite and friendly person. However, his contact with Prisoner became less close in recent three years, as Deft did not often return home.
