Each brigade has a medical clinic manned by

'bare-foot doctors' capable of dealing with minor complaints.

The more seriously ill are referred to the Commune clinic,

located at FUK TIN, which is manned by five or six qualified

doctors. Members of the Commune medical scheme who attend

the Commune clinic have all their medical expenses paid

by their own P.B. The PQ ON County Hospital is located

at SHUM CHUN, to which patients from the Commune clinic

may be referred if necessary.
