DEFENCE REVIEW
1. We expect that a ministerial statement on the Defence
Review will be made to Parliament on 3 December. Shortly before that date we will be starting to consult or inform all other governments as appropriate in confidence about the proposals in the Review which are likely to affect them, but the statement is unlikely to go into any great detail about individual proposals.
2. The Defence Review, and a priori the statement, will have no direct implications for a number of dependent territories. We do not propose to give advance notice of the contents of the statement to the Governors concerned; they
