These figures take into account the consequential effects of complete or partial withdrawal on local support services [ There would ha Additional savings as a result of complete with rewel in less-rondi
identifiable support - the UK baac, air ataging, logistic sea movement
and in strategio communications. Buoh savings are taken into necomb in the reductions to the Critical Lovel. Some of these savings would ha
foregone by partiel withdrawal. A very broad cptimate in that thean
might amount to some 61.0m - 815m in 1978/9, slightly loss in 1963/1. The savings take no account of compensation payments to Governments, eg by way of technical assistance, which could be substantial; nor for the financial assistance which the Cyprus Government is requesting in consideration for our use of facilities and sites in the Republic.
