Correspondence about Watt's visit rests with your

letter of 22 February to Statham at Bonn.

2.

Watt, accompanied by Dodge of the Hong Kong office at Brussels, looked in here last week. They, also called on the Consul General at Amsterdam. Watt made no demands on us. As you had suggested, his main interest was in picking our brains about Commercial information work.

We briefed him on how we operate in this field and promised to send him some of our distribution lists for commercial material together with a list of people whom we had sent recently to Britain on sponsored visits.

3. I think Watt found his visit useful. The Ambassador had hoped, to see him, but in the event was tied up with a visit by the Attorney-General. Instead, Watt saw David Moss, Eric Patterson, Max Schuchart and myself, so we hope he feels well looked after.

Your, ever
