Before proceeding further, I should be grateful for the necessary approval in principle for the coining of the two new denominations.

World Coin hope to begin selling Hong Kong proof coins in 1975. We are considering separately a reduction in the size and weight of the present one dollar coin, as a result of which 1975 may be the last year in which the one dollar coin is produced to the existing specification. If this were to happen it would probably increase substantially the demand for proof sets in 1975 and the profit which Hong Kong would make from the project, We would, therefore, like to go ahead as soon as possible with the agreement with World Coin.
