Dear Price
1.
In your Saving telegram no. 95 of 23 March you asked if it would be possible for us to let you have a full set of Command papers on International Labour Conventions.
2.
A reply was sent from another Department (FCO Saving telegram no. 31 of 3 April) giving details of the Command papers relating to the various conventions. The telegram went on to say that copies of the Command papers had already been sent to Hong Kong. It occurred to me that you might have some difficulty in locating these papers, some of which are fairly old, and I therefore asked our Library if they could obtain copies. They were unable to trace any of the Orders in Council for Convention Nos. 1 16 (see para. 1 of FCO Saving telegram no. 31) but I am enclosing two copies of all the Command papers listed in paras. 4, 5 and 6 of that telegram.
I also enclose a list of the dates of denunciation of certain Conventions para. 2(b) of your Saving telegram under reference.
3.
I am sorry I missed you while you were in the UK on leave. We were busy with visitors from the Seychelles following the recent elections there, and I did not hear about your visit to the FCO until after the event.
Yours ever
