DECIDES to establish official relations with the following organizations, on the basis of the criteria contained in the working principles governing the admission of
• non-governmental organizations into official relations with WHO:
International Electrotechnical Commission
International Union of Biological Sciences
World Federation for Medical Education".
International College of Surgeons
The Committee decided to postpone the consideration of the application submitted by the International College of Surgeons whose questionnaire had been received too late to be communicated to members of the Board within the time-limit set in resolution EB8.R54, paragraph 2, of the Executive Board.
The Committee agreed that the request for official relations with the Organization would be considered by the Committee and the Executive Board at its Fifty-fifth Session in January 1975.
Next triennial review of non-governmental organizations in official relations with WHO
The Committee was informed that, in accordance with part 2 (vi) of the working principles governing the admission of non-governmental organizations into official relations with WHO, the next triennial review of the list of non-governmental organizations in official relations, covering the period 1972-1974, would be submitted to the Standing Committee on Non-governmental Organizations and to the Executive Board at its Fifty-fifth Session in January 1975,
Steps were being taken by the Director-General to initiate this study and every effort would be made to provide members of the Board with a thorough review of the relations and collaboration which have taken place between non-governmental organizations and the Organization during the past three years.
