In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause XIV

of the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 - 1972, I appoint

JAMES DAVID MCGREGOR

upon whom has been conferred the Imperial Service Order, Justice

of the Peace, to be provisionally an Official Member of the

Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 17th June 1974 during the

absence from the Colony of Mr. David Harold Jordan, Member of

the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Justice of the

Peace.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the

Colony on 17th June 1974.
