Mr Haddon-Cave asked what adjustments should be made to the Anglo-Italian Group's bid prices if Chater Station and its line to Admiralty were included. Dr Piccagli replied that:

(a) in respect of Alternative 1, the ceiling price should be

increased by HK$245 million;

(b) in respect of Alternative 2, the ceiling price should be

increased by HK 213 million, while the local cost portion should be increased by HK$76 million; and

all indicative 'order of magnitude' figures should be

increased by about 4%.

In reply to a further question from Mr Haddon-Cave, Mr Scott said that, in respect of both Alternatives 1 and 2, the reference point for the provisional sum for ventilation and air-conditioning
