The cash-flow table in Part III of this Annex has been drawn up on the basis of the Japanese Consortium's proposals and of certain assumptions made by the Mass Transit Steering Group.

The maximum price indicated by the Consortium for Proposal A has been used for the purpose of the cash-flow table. The figure has been adjusted as follows to bring it roughly in line with the coverage of the prices indicated by the other three consortia:

(a) the Corporation's own cost consists of:

(i)

land acquisition costs, estimated at $200 mn at mid- 1973 prices, less possible resales of surplus land estimated at $50 mn at mid-1973 prices;

(ii) site investigation costs (including soils investigations and diversions of utility services) estimated at $41 mn;

(iii) Consulting Engineers' fees, estimated on the basis of

their present fees, but adjusted to take account of the Consortium's proposal to take over the detailed design
