heroin from Yu. On the afternoon of 27th January, 1973, the officer met Yu at a restaurant in Nathan Road where the transaction was to take place. However Yu did not have the drugs in his possession but he took the officer to an apartment house in the Alhambra Building, 383 Nathan Road, Kowloon,' where he asked the officer to wait. Yu left the room returning a few minutes later with a white powder substance. The officer confirmed by examination that the powder was heroin and arrested Yu. The total weight of the drugs was 2.86 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 0.8394 kilogrammes of salts of esters of morphine. Yu was charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking and was placed on bail by a magistrate pending his trial in the District Court. Yu did not attend court on the day set down for his case to be heard and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
