THIRD SPECIAL SESSION OF THE NARCOTICS COMMISSION

I am writing to tell you that after consultation with the relevant departments in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office it has been agreed that you should be nominated as an ad lser in the United Kingdom delegation at the Third Special Session of the Narcotics Commission. I hope that you will be able to join me for the whole session which lasts from Monday 18 February until Friday 1 March. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office are trying to arrange that copies of the session's documentation are sent direct to you.

As I undertook to do when we met in October, when I hear that you can accept this invitation, I shall make a hotel booking for you for the same hotel as myself.

Although this letter will arrive with you after Christmas, it is written before Christmas, I take this opportunity of wishing you a Happy Christmas and New Year.

I look forward to seeing you in Geneva.
