PARLIAMENTARY QUESTION ON THE GODBER CASE
1. Mr James Johnston MP put down the attached Parliamentary
Question for oral answer on 25 July, but subsequently withdrew
it and retabled it as a Question for written answer today, 19
July. However, as it is not a priority Question, we were not
obliged to get the answer into today's Hansard. Farliamentary
Unit agreed that we should await the Governor's reply to our
telegram number 698 before submitting a draft answer.
2. The Governor has now replied (his telegram number 787). I
attach a draft written answer.
3. I shall submit separately on the other issues raised in
the Governor's telegram number 787.
