MR A M ELLIS - FORMER INSPECTOR, ROYAL HONG KONG POLICE FORCE

2. Mr Ellis called to see Mr Royle at the Office on 5 April to discuss his allegations of corruption within the Hong Kong Police Force. Mr Royle said he did not consider that a further inquiry was called for and that he was satisfied with the present arrange- ments for investigating corruption in Hong Kong. He would never- theless ask the Inspector General of Colonial Police to look through the papers.
