Amend the Public Order Ordinance.

ANNEX ↑ E'

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public

Order (Amendment) Ordinance, 1973.

Repeal and replacement

of section 33. (Cap. 245.)

2.

Section 33 of the principal Ordinance is

repealed and replaced by the following

"Possession of offensive weapon in public place.

33. (1) Any person who, without lawful

authority or reasonable excuse, has with him

in any public place any offensive weapon shall

be guilty of an offence and shall be sentenced

on summary conviction in the manner specified

in subsection (2).

(Cap. 226.)

(2) A person convicted of an offence

under subsection (1) shall

(a) if under the age of 14 years, be

dealt with in accordance with the

provisions of the Juvenile Offenders

-Ordinance;

(b)

if not less than 14 years of age

nor more than 16 years of age, be

sentenced
