A BILL
To
Amend the Training Centres Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title.
Amendment of section 4. (Cap. 280.)
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Training Centres (Amendment) Ordinance, 1973.
2. Section 4(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "nine" and substituting the following
"six".
Explanatory Memorandum.
The purpose of this Bill is to reduce the minimum
period of detention of a person sentenced to be detained in
a training centre from nine months to six months.
