We have not yet been able to make progress

on the amendment of the Fugitive Offenders Act. As

you know, we have had to accept defeat in the attempt

to get it changed retrospectively to catch Godber, but

the Department are plugging away at the Home Office on

the possibility of a non-retrospective change on

general grounds.
