Dear Th. Kidd,
1.
This letter is to give you advance warning about a proposed stop-over visit to Hong Kong by a Parliamentary delegation led by Dame Joan Vickers, which is to visit China in November.
2. We do not yet know the exact composition of the delegation but there will be two members of the House of Lords and eight from the House of Commons, and there is a possibility that wives will also be in attendance. We are likely to be asked to arrange accommodation in Hong Kong for some of the members of the party and I will write you again as soon as we know their exact require- ments.
In the meantime you may like to know that the delegation is due to arrive in Hong Kong by flight BA 812 on 30 October at 1645 hours. They will spend 31 October in Hong Kong and will probably leave for Peking on 1 November, although these arrangements have not yet been finalised.
Yours sincerely,
Pat Kelly
