Honourable Members are advised that, on the suggestion

of Mr Anthony Royle, MP, an invitation has been extended to Mr M. N. Shaw, Mr Royle's Parliamentary Private Secretary, to visit Hong Kong during Whitsun this year together with Mr Jopling and Mr King whose invitations were approved by Council on 3rd April. It is regretted that because of the very short notice given it was not possible to seek the formal approval of Honourable Members before the invitation was made. The provisional dates for this visit are from

26th May to 3rd June.

above are annexed.

Honourable Members will be asked to advise whether invitations to visit Hong Kong in 1973 should be issued to those Members of Parliament nominated in paragraph 2 above, or, if unavailable, to the reserves nominated in paragraph 3 above.
