FAO 17TH CONFERENCE
10-29 NOVEMBER 1973, ROME
1. As you may know, the Food and Agriculture Organisation oftthe United Nations will be holding its 17th biennial General Conference in Rome on 10-29 November 1973. Hong Kong is not of course a member of FAO, but representatives of Hong Kong are eligible to join the UK delegation if desired, although no nominations have been received for the past three conferences. If you agree, I should therefore be grateful if you would ask Hong Kong if they wish to make any nominations.

Any costs would have to be met from local funds, as FAŬ does not provide assistance of any kind. Intending participants should be in possession of a valid passport and sufficient funds to cover the cost of their stay in Rome.

3. Should Hong Kong decide to nominate representatives, I like to know their names and official titles as soon as possible, and in any case before 30 September, hotel reservations in Rome can be arranged, if required.
