Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended

to indicate their general purport.)

These regulations, which will come into operation on

the day on which the Immigration Ordinance 1971 is brought into

operation, prescribe

(a) the conditions of stay which may be imposed under the

Ordinance on persons permitted to land in Hong Kong;

(b) the forms which are to be used under the Ordinance; (c) the fees to be charged in respect of documents issued

by the Director of Immigration under the Ordinance; and

other matter which require to be prescribed under the

Ordinance.
