the fresh poll shall be taken accordingly.

3) The returning officer shall as

soon as is practicable before the taking

of a fresh poll publish notice thereof in

at least one English language newspaper

and in at least one Chinese language

newspaper circulating in Hong Kong.

(4) These regulations shall apply to

the fresh poll as they apply to the

original poll.

Notwithstanding regulation 44,

when a poll at a polling station is declared

void under sub-paragraph (1) the counting

of votes in respect of ballot papers

received at other polling stations at the

same election shall not be commenced until

after the close of the fresh poll.

5. The Schedule to the principal regulations is

amended

(a)

in Form 1 by deleting "February" at the end

thereof and substituting the following

"January";

(b) by deleting Form 13 and substituting the

following new form
